EXERCISE RECOMMENDATIONS

Blue APPLe Health Scans is an advocate of exercise  It is one of the most beneficial steps you can take toward a healthier happier lifestyle. Exercise can reduce your risk for heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure, diabetes and ostoeporosis.

 DO NOT start an exercise program without first consulting with your physician!  
Serious harm can occur if you are not ready to begin an exercise program.  It may be necessary to achieve other health goals prior to exercising, such as loosing weight or controling existing diseases or conditions.
STAY ACTIVE! STAY FIT! STAY HEALTHY!
Once you have consulted with your doctor, remember to start slow and easy.   Be as active as you can physically, but do not overdo it.  Build up your regime slowly and as time passes, you will be surprised at the results you can achieve.  

Walking is the best exercise. 
When you are ready, we recommend you walk or exercise for 30 minutes a day about 5 times a week.

If you are overweight, start a diet plan. Even a small amount of weight loss can help reduce your "bad" cholesterol and help your overall health.   See our  section called DIET DO's & DON'TS.

The plain and simple truth is that over eating is the culprit of the tremendous obesity trend in America. Larger portions of the wrong foods combined with a sedentary lifestyle has lead to the "fattening" of people in the United States. Unfortunately, the problem not only lies with adults but our youth as well.

One of the biggest problems facing our healthcare system is the obesity in children. The immense strain obesity has on the body of our kids is going to reduce the longevity and quality of their lives. The expense it places on the healthcare system is secondary but not to be overlooked.
